Holomatrix SEP material is a mulit-lensed effect thermoplastic film manufactured in polycarbonate, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), flexible PVC and cellulose propionate. Holomatrix gets its effects of motion and dimension from thousands of minute parabolic lenses that are molded into the surface on both sides of the film. These lenses create a pattern of absorption and reflection of light which result in optical characteristics that are remarkable and unique.Shimmering silk, stardust sparkles, geometric repetition and threee dimentsional are some of the ways to describe this material.
These materials also lend themselves to many downstream processing methods. Silk screening, litho and flexo are just a few of the printing methods that have been succesfully utilized on Holomatrix materials. Polycarbonate and cellulose propionate can be easily hot stamped for rich and varied effects. Holomatrix Illusion films can also be easily die cut and adhesively bonded to many different substrates.
Applications
Applications for SEP are as varied as the imagination allows. It can be used in packaging, point-of-purhcase displays, vending machines, clothing apparel and accessories, business cards, decals, home furnishing and many other applications.
These special FX plastics are a multi-lensed effect thermoplastic film that is manufactured in:
• polycarbonate (PC),
• flexible PVC (V),
• thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)
• cellulose propionate.
SEP gets its effects of motion and dimension from thousands of minute parabolic lenses that are moulded into the surface on both sides of the film. These lenses create a pattern of absorption and reflection of light, which result in optical characteristics that are unique. This material is described as being three-dimensional.
SEP is available in rolls and sheets. The material is produced 640 mm wide and 380 microns thick.
